"Books for Tots" Drive

The "Books for Tots" foundation is an organization devoted to giving childrens books to families in need. Before the holiday break, the Lake City Key Club placed collection bins in each classroom for student donations. The collection process was a contest throughout the classes, offering doughnuts to the class with the most books by the end 2010. Mrs. Grossman's A2 class won, with over 40 books from just 30 students. Overall, we collected 181 books from generous Lake City students! Great job Lake City! The books were sorted and dropped off to the community project outlet, Linda Rohlings, on December 19th, 2010.

Glove and Hat Drive

Through St. Vincent de Paul, the Lake City Key Club collected hats and gloves from the Lake City student body. We collected two garbage bags full of gently used hats and gloves for Homeless Awareness week in November. Way to go, Lake City!
