The Lake City High School Media Center supports the school curriculum and provides access to appropriate and current information resources to ensure that all students and staff are effective users of information and ideas.

Our collection contains approximately 14,500 copies of fiction and nonfiction. These titles may be searched online using the Destiny Quest card catalog.

Books may be checked out for three weeks and may be renewed for an additional three week period if necessary. The overdue fine for regular books is $0.10 per school day. A current Lake City High School ID card is required to check out library materials.

Some reference materials may be checked out overnight and must be returned the next morning. The overdue fine for these materials is $1.00 per school day. Videos may be checked out two days with an overdue fine of $1.00 per day.

The Media Center contains 64 computers for online research. The Media Center subscribes to a variety of research services to aid the students in efficiently finding the data needed for projects. A current Lake City High School ID card and a signed Technology Agreement is necessary for computer use.

Please Note: Students with overdue materials or Library fines may not check out materials until all fines are cleared.
